In 2020, the use of technology to conduct behavioral and mental health assessments and deliver treatment increased dramatically to address the need to social distance during the pandemic. This increase prompted researchers to study and establish guidelines and best practices for treatment providers and the judiciary aimed at achieving the best outcomes possible.
