Exercise 3: Summary
Court users who do not have access to adequate public transportation (such as transit or rideshares) or regular access to a reliable personal vehicle may encounter difficulties getting to court. Transportation challenges exist in all communities and can be a significant obstacle to appearance for people in rural or sparsely populated areas. This can be exacerbated when a court user has a suspended driver’s license but is required to come to court.
