Laurie K. Givens is Vice President of Court Consulting Services at the National Center for State Courts. She previously served as Director of the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts for 15 years. During that time, Laurie served as President of the Conference of State Court Administrators as well as co-chair of the National Task Force on Fines, Fees and Bail Practices. In 2018, Laurie received the Mary C. McQueen Award for Excellence and Leadership in Justice System Improvement. She previously practiced law and was executive director of the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy and a staff attorney in the Kentucky Justice & Public Safety Cabinet. Laurie earned both her bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Kentucky, and she is an alumna of the Toll Fellowship Program of the Council of State Governments.
