Sarah Vandenberg Van Zee is a Court Management Consultant at the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), supporting groundbreaking initiatives revolving around addressing gender-based violence concerns, championing the rights and well-being of children and families, and advocating for the elderly population.
Ms. Vandenberg Van Zee holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Central College. Prior to her tenure at NCSC, Sarah played a pivotal role in managing and executing programs aimed at enhancing the Iowa court system's response to gender-based violence cases and improving access to justice. Her diverse skill set encompasses the establishment of non-legal court navigators, accessibility assessments for court facilities and procedures, comprehensive training for court personnel and community stakeholders on gender-based violence dynamics, and the facilitation of coordinated community responses from a judicial perspective.
